MIX

MIX is an active module used to combine multiple input signals into a single output by averaging the inputs. This means the output signal is the average of the input signals, each scaled by a factor of 1/3, ensuring that the overall level remains consistent and manageable without clipping.
- Assembled: Ready to use right out of the box, professionally assembled and tested.
- DIY kit: Panel and PCB with presoldered SMD components, includes all THT components.
- Both came with Power Cable
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
- Width: 2 HP
- Depth: max. 34 mm (with connector)
- Power: +12V: 10mA, -12V: 10mA
FEATURES
- Design: The module features two independent channels, each with three inputs and one output. Each channel averages its three input signals and outputs the result. If the first channel’s output is unconnected, the averaged signal from the first channel is automatically routed to the second channel’s input at 1/3 gain.
- Mixing Capability: This mixer is ideal for combining various audio or CV signals into a single, averaged output. This is useful for creating balanced mixes of audio sources or for blending multiple CV signals to achieve a smooth modulation effect.
- Signal Integrity: 1/3 unity gain mixer uses op-amps to combine multiple signals while averaging their levels. This ensures that the output signal represents a balanced mix of the inputs without any one signal dominating the mix.
- Avoiding Clipping and Distortion: By averaging the input signals, the mixer helps prevent the combined output from reaching levels that could cause clipping or distortion in subsequent modules.
- Creating Sub-Mixes: In larger patches, using a mixer to create sub-mixes of related signals before sending them to a main mixer or output module. This can help organize and manage complex patches more effectively.
